Belum Rainforest Resort #6 - Beautiful waterfalls

After climbing and going down so many hills, I was quite exhausted already. We went on to our last destination, finally! :D

The location of the waterfall is further inside. Very very mysterious but full of suspense :p

Ok, I spotted the waterfall! But there was like a gap in between the boat and the dry land on the other side, and there were huge rocks which blocked the boat from going any nearer the dry land =.=

So the tour guide and my dad had to jump down and search for wooden planks for them to serve as a mini bridge, as the level of the water was quite deep and we didn't want to get our shoes wet.

(...Spent some time doing that...)

There was a huge lot of bamboos on the other side of the forest. Although much of it has fallen already...

Yay crossed (safely) to the other side and getting nearer to the waterfall! Oh wait there are two waterfalls here... this is the first one. The best one is of course kept for the last :p

Started to see lots of fishes along the path! There's only this kind of fish at the waterfall.

Photobucket

Still a long way to go actually.

Photobucket

Ropes are tied securely to the rocks for people to hold onto them while passing through certain areas that may be dangerous.

Photobucket

Anyone dare to walk across this tree trunk? :p

Photobucket

The second waterfall! :D

We brought quite a few pieces of white bread.. (actually 'stolen' from the resort cafe during breakfast LOLOL) and the fishes were really aggressive! AGGRESSIVE I tell you!

Just look at the whole ...thing... there. It's totally a PILE of fishes fighting for a small piece of bread. Maybe they were starving oh I pity them T__T

Photobucket

The bread was all gone in just a few minutes - all fed to the hungry fishes. We had nothing else to do so we decided to head back lol. Regretted not taking more bread...

On the way back, our guide showed us this extraordinary plant. It looks like a fern, but the special thing is that it can GLOW IN THE DARK :O well sort of la. Even in the picture, you can see its blue-ish colour. When it's completely dark, the blue-ish colour will stand out and yeah, glow in the dark :D

Photobucket

So now you know what plant to look out for when you're lost in a jungle! :p

And then there's the kicap fatimah I think. It looks like this. So now I can say that I've seen a REAL kicap fatimah and tongkat ali herb! Haha.

Back to the first waterfall lol.

I took this when we were on the boat.. and the guide was filling petrol I think. Coz I had a lot of time adjusting the angles and focusing on the dragonfly. A really tough feat, as I was trying my best to keep my hands steady while stretching them out as far as possible! The lens was already zoomed to the max by the way, but I still wanted to get a closer picture of it :)

From another angle.

It was another looooong ride back. But I was so grateful to return to the comfy air-conditioned room after spending a whole day drenched in sweat!

These are the stuff that I bought in the Orang Asli village :) Can't wait to see how pretty the necklace is going to look after I dye it rainbow :D

Photobucket

After a long rest, we took a walk in the Herbal Garden just before dinner. Saw this lizard (?) with a super long tail :O
