A-Level Achievements & Awards Night

So so excited for my first prom/official graduation ceremony, which happened on the 18th of June! It was on Monday -__- and just 3 days after my last A2 paper. So yeahh I was quite busy during the weekend, figuring out what hairstyle and makeup to put on, painting my nails blah blah blah. :p

I was one of the early ones to reach Sunway Resorts Hotel & Spa (where else would they hold the event?). It was really awkward coming down from the car and walking through the huge glass doors with strangers staring at me T.T

We waited a bit for Ryan and Johnson and then we went up to Lagoon 2. The rest from my A1 class weren't there yet -.-

The waiters served us pre-dinner drinks. :D

The whole room just exudes a sense of grandeur!

Love the lightings too.

Yay everyone has arrived and there were ten of us so one table was just nice to fit everyone. The rest had already went back to their home towns so they couldn't come :(

CHEERS! SAMI A1 '11 forever :)

The first performance to kick start the night! On The Wings Of An Eagle - our theme song for the night.

First dish, some hot and cold combination. Heard that the food was prepared by Sunway Culinary students, and surprisingly the taste was not bad.

Not duck but chicken!

Sweet and sour fish slices.

Next up was the dance performance by KS and the gang! Superb choreography :D

For the next few dishes, everyone was busy taking pictures and so the food kept coming and coming without us finishing the previous dish. SO MUCH FOOD! And it was such a waste coz either we were not there to eat, or we were bloated to the max already!

...But my stomach could still hold a bowl of ice cold longan syrup :p

Final performance of the night! Can't remember what song they performed. I noticed almost everyone's attention was elsewhere. Well, the night certainly whizzed by and suddenly I felt a rush of emotions, just by the thought of not seeing one another perhaps for a long time D:

But I believe that one day, SAMI A1 '11 will have the chance to get together! Below are awesome pictures of my friends and I :D

Here's me attempting the cute look with Johnson's huuuge glasses :p

Mei Ying, the tallest girl in our class and the shortest vertically challenged guy in our class :P

With Ms. See, our maths lecturer! I think she's the most friendliest lecturer ever :D

Lol so I didn't expect this to happen. But yeahhhh this is our econs class with Ms. Thanam.

 With Kat and Jolene.

The two funny guys =.=

Full of swagggg ;)

Hot babe with sexy red lips, Jing Hui!

The A1 girls who came :D Shen Yin, Diana, Jolene, Mun Yee and Mei Ying.

We camwhored in the lovely washroom! Seriously, the washroom's soooo pretty!

With the A1 guys. Yup, only four of them ;) They're a nice bunch!

With most of the S2 peeps. I was previously from S2! :p Melissa, Mason, Dharshini, Kavita, Chee Onn, Anusha, Razleen, Elin and Pui Mun.

A few of my Psychology mates from the January intake. Diane, Fei Mun, Ms. Ida (she's really nice as well!), Sam and Kristal.

Psychology mates again: Mae, Tharani, Diane and Sabrena.

I guess the highlight of the night was when we held this banner up and screamed our lungs out, when Kiasu Kid went up the stage to receive the Best Law Student award. :p It was a huge surprise for him; I can't imagine his face of shock when he saw this! ;)

Of course, I kept the best photos for last. The A1 gang who thrived together through the hardships of A-Level with smiles, laughters, silly jokes and teasing one another :D Love them so much!

A proud moment :') Can't believe that I have graduated from college after months and months of torture hehe! (Picture courtesy of Ryan)

Picnic at Bukit Jalil Park with the CG peeps ;)

On Labour's Day, my CG had its very first official outing! :D Hmm... after 2 years lol. We decided to go the traditional way of having a picnic in a park, as the activity encourages fellowship with one another rather than let's say, watching a movie, which robs us of actual conversation.

Invited the gang, but only 2 of them can make it. Well well, we still had fun :p Let me present Mean Shan and Hui Ying, the very yeng posers XD

We were there early, so we camwhored around the park LOL. Our loud voices and laughter can be heard down the quiet road; I think we disturbed those serious joggers/runners :p When we stopped laughing, all was calm and peaceful again and yeah it did get a little bit awkward...

Okie finally we got back (to 'Japan') and prepared for the photo scavenger hunt! Excited much.

Listening attentively to Kalvin and Katherine (game masters) explaining the rules and what-to-dos and what-not-to-dos of the activity.

Hui Ying, Mean Shan, Wei Chen and I formed a group and were set to go!
#1 - Do a bunny hop with an elderly person.

#2 - Do a creative pose in front of a totem.

#3 - Do a leg wrestle (okay I don't know what were we doing)

#4 - Human knot around a tree.

#5 - Pose on a staircase.

#6 - Form a P3CG sign.

#7 - Plank around a water fountain!

#8 - Act like dudes. (LOL)

#9 - Dip hand into water.

#10 - Take a picture with a flowering tree.

I love the flowers so much. Purple (Y)

#11 - Take a picture with a signboard. (China actors and dramas ftw! xP)

#12 - Find a panda inside a box and take a picture with it.

#13 - Take a picture with a 'Bersih' sign. :p

#14 - Shake hands with a foreigner. (okay technically, he's not a foreigner but he looks like one lol)

#15 - Take a picture of a cross.

I guessed that's it - all 15 tasks to be completed. I think we were one of the last groups to finish the hunt, so yeah didn't win any prize T_T

Here's Clement calculating the marks with the help from the other boys.

Chilling after SO MUCH running.

Spotted a dragonfly! Ignore the low quality though, as this was shot with a compact :( Luckily I managed to capture this in time before it flew away!

After the hunt, everyone was just so exhausted from running as every group wanted to try their best to get first place :p Therefore we were extremely grateful when it was time to eat! Munch munch munch.

Lovely scones baked by our lovely leader, Ian :p

Some of the yummy food brought by the members.

Sharing is caring hehehe~

Sooo... 'Japan' provides the perfect place for picnics and fellowships ;)

Our cosy little corner! :D

Prize presentation time! There were prizes for first place, 'Best Dance' and 'Most Funniest Dance'. Oh yes I forgot to mention that after the hunt, each group had to do a dance did I? :p

Guess what. The song was Justin Bieber's Baby but fortunately we were only required to dance to the chorus! -____-

I think this group won 'Most Funniest Dance'... XD Our leader and assistant, Ian and Beatrice, were 'forced' to follow the moves haha!

Before the picnic ended, group photos are definitely a must! :p

Our own little group :3

Last last picture before we went home :)
