Easter sunrise service

On Easter Sunday....

I woke up REAL EARLY, went to church to get on the bus which took us to Sentul Park, KL (via KLPac).

It was 6 something in the morning ohh yeahh!



Arrived there after walking through mazes of candle lights (the lights on the river are so pweeety!) But didn't managed to take photos as people were hurrying to get to the main area in time for praise and worship.



The blue started to fade and the orange started to came in.. at around 7 something?

A tinge of pinkish-orange in the sky ;)

A drama/performance by the Performing Arts.

Easter message by Pastor Dorai Manikam. He speaks powerfully but I didn't sit in and listen.

I went around taking photos of the beautiful place, occasionally hearing his booming voice across the vast land :P

I like the huuuuge tree dotted with yellow flowers. If you look closer, you can see strings of ribbon dangling on the branches.

Street photography with R.AGE :)

On one of the Saturdays in April, I joined R.AGE first ever photowalk with Jason Lioh, Jason Goh, Ivy Soon, Robin Wong and 14 other people.

We were grouped into groups of three of four, with Jason Goh being my group's mentor. It felt like being a BRAT again, taking my camera and shooting away along the streets of Pudu with people I just got acquainted with.

There was a slight drizzle which gradually became big heavy droplets, so it was kinda disappointing as we had to keep to the shelters and can't roam around to take anything we want. So it was pretty limited.

I had lotsa fun though! Jason Goh was a great mentor, and I sorta became a fan of his after the walk haha. Check out smashpop.net (which I already linked). Jason said that there are only 2 things that a compact camera do best: 1. take wide-angle shots 2. take close-range shots.

Although photos taken using a compact won't turn out as good as a DSLR's, I'm still quite impressed of some photos that I've captured. Compact cameras can do wonders too! =)

This guy was waving his hands preventing us from taking his picture. But we still snapped anyway. As Jason said, the guy most likely won't leave his stall and come chasing after us, so just take lah!

I would love to take street photography again, mainly because it's so full of exciting and interesting stuff and you never know what to expect. Will definitely be going for the next photowalk, this time with my *cough* new DSLR :P
