Since it's the first Legoland theme park in Asia, obviously famous landmarks from Asian countries will be on display ;) It took three years and more than 30 million Lego bricks to build these miniature buildings, can you imagine :O So be amazed at the whole complexity of it.
The first building that caught my eye was of course, Malaysia's Petronas Twin Towers! (It's the tallest structure in MINILAND)
The building with the green domes is the Prime Minister's office in Putrajaya, Malaysia.
Putra Mosque, the principal mosque in Putrajaya, Malaysia.
Flags of different states in Malaysia.
The white truck says udang beku or frozen prawns. Haha cute!
Suria KLCC is Malaysia's premier shopping centre, located at the base of the Petronas Twin Towers. (Can you spot Spiderman?!)
With the press of a button, these mini figurines will pop out one by one and music will start to play! Loveeee.
The school bus is so cute!
The Kuala Lumpur Tower is used for communication purposes and features an antenna that reaches 421 metres!
The streets of Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia.
See the tire marks on the road? The buses move along these marks :P
Cute construction going on! Haha.
The Kuala Lumpur Railway Station.
There's even a train underneath the building!
The Sultan Abdul Samad Building, located in front of Merdeka Square, Kuala Lumpur.
Jamek Mosque, one of the oldest mosques in Kuala Lumpur.
Maybank Tower, major skyscraper and landmark in Kuala Lumpur. The headquarters of Maybank was the tallest building in Malaysia before the construction of the Petronas Twin Towers in 1995.
KL Monorail.
Mona Lisa HAHAHAHA.
I love this picture so much! Credits to the friendly Legoland photographer/staff :D
Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), the main international airport in Malaysia and also one of the major airports of Southeast Asia.
LE-STAR GO, Legoland's very own cruise ship haha!
The Port of Tanjung Pelepas, a port for container ships located in south-western Johor, Malaysia.
The clock tower in Johor Bahru.
Wow wow wow seems like the Lego figurines are enjoying themselves at a rock concert! ;P
Notice a church wedding in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, one of the main Roman Catholic churches in Johor Bahru? Cute!
Jalan Wong Ah Fook in Johor Bahru.
What an advertisement haha.
Okay moving out of Malaysia!
This is the famous Taj Mahal of India. The white marble mausoleum was built by the Mughal emperor in memory of his third wife, and took thousands of workers and more than twenty years to build! I would loveee to see this great masterpiece of Mughal architecture for real :')
Dancing merrily in front of Taj Mahal haha.
The Forbidden City in Beijing, China was the emperor's palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties - that is more than 500 years! The entire palace has more than 980 buildings and covers 720, 000 square meters. The Tiananmen Gate separates the Forbidden City from Tiananmen Square, the third largest city square in the world.
Cute dancing dragon :D
Behind the Forbidden City model is the Great Wall of China, which I almost missed!
Singapore Flyer, the tallest Ferris wheel in the world.
Riverside Point, a waterfront dining venue by the Singapore River. This is so weird: I go to Singapore every year but I have never been to nor heard of this place before. Must be something wrong with me hmm.
Another brilliant advertisement lol.
One of my favourite places in Singapore :) It's so romantic at night!
The Fullerton Hotel, a five-star luxury hotel located near the mouth of the Singapore River.
At the Singapore River Cruise, tourists can discover the scenic Singapore River in bumboat cruise tours.
The Merlion, a mascot and national personification of Singapore. Initially I was freaked out at this creature having a lion's head and a mermaid's body, but now it looks kinda cool and majestic :P
Karaweik Hall, a gigantic barge on the shore of Kandawgyi Lake in Yangon, Myanmar. It was inspired by ancient royal barges, and the word "Karaweik" comes from the name of a mythical bird. Inside is a large restaurant where guests can see traditional crafts and dances.
Wat Arun is a Buddhist temple on the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok, Thailand. Its name means "Temple of Dawn" and it was built in the 19th century. It is decorated with seashells and pieces of porcelain used as ballast in boats from China.
Purah Tanah Lot, a temple on a rock formation on the coast of Bali, Indonesia. It can only be reached at low tide, as it becomes an island at high tide. A special festival is held at the temple every 210 days.
Bolinao, a thriving fishing town on the coast of Luzon Island in the Philippines. In the town center is the Church of St. James the Great, built in 1609. Visitors come to Bolinao to see the colourful fishing boats and visit the beautiful beaches nearby.
Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque is located in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei. Its largest dome is covered in pure gold! :O
Angkor Wat, a temple complex in Cambodia. It was built by King Suryavarman II in the 12th century (Form 1 history hahaha). By area, it is the largest religious building in the world.
Patuxai is a monument to victory in the center of Vientiane, Laos. It was built between 1957 and 1968, and dedicated to those who fought in the struggle for independence from France.
Hội An is a city of Vietnam, and recognised as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The ancient town is an exceptionally well-preserved example of a Southeast Asian trading port from the 15th to the 19th century.
A pirate ship!
Building in progress ahaha.
Ermagerd Lego horses!
My feet was extremely sore from all the walking (even though I was wearing sport shoes), and I was so grateful to see an empty bench nearby. I literally could NOT continue walking! Rested for 15 minutes and my sister took this picture of my nails. Hehe. I did it in Hello Kitty Town the previous day!
After replenishing my energy at The Café, my sister and I went to the souvenir shop to get some cute Lego stuff for ourselves and our friends. Everything on sale is not cheap heh (but I just couldn't resist the urge not to buy something!)
These cute figurines are outside the shop! I see a product placement of Canon DSLRs hahaha.
This was outside The Café :D
All in all, it was a great and fun experience at Legoland. I would love to come back here again - perhaps after more rides and attractions are completed.
